Dr. Chris R. Cameron
BSc, DDS, MSc (Dentistry), Cert. Perio FRCD(C)
Dr. Cameron is a certified Periodontist and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He’s an active member of the Canadian Academy of Periodontology, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Canadian Dental Association, and the Nova Scotia Dental Association. An Amherst native, Dr. Cameron moved to Halifax in 1994 to study at the University of King’s College, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in biology and philosophy. In 2004 he went on to study at the Dalhousie University Faculty of Dentistry, where he received the American Academy of Periodontics award for outstanding performance in periodontics. After graduation he spent two years in general dentistry practice in Halifax. Dr. Cameron returned to dental education in 2007 when he enrolled in a residency program in periodontics in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba. During his residency he researched a new method of training periodontics residents in surgical procedures.
Dr. Cameron lives in Fall River with his wife Cindy and their five children. He enjoys hiking, boating, and cycling. He’s also fortunate to have been a volunteer basketball coach for 12 years and loves to coach his children.
In 2017 he was recognized with an outstanding teaching award for his time and commitment to the Dalhousie School of Dentistry.
