Dr. Aditya B. Patel

HBSc., DDS, MPerio, FRCD(C)

Dr. Patel graduated in 2012 from the Doctor of Dental Surgery program at the University of Toronto. After graduation, he enrolled in the Masters of Periodontics program at Dalhousie where he studied periodontal treatment and dental implantology. Dr. Patel has a special interest in periodontal tissue regeneration, advanced bone grafting, and CBCT-guided implant therapies. He’s a certified specialist in Periodontics and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

A deep love for teaching has led Dr. Patel to serve as a part-time lecturer and clinical instructor at Dalhousie. He presents case seminars and also supervises third and fourth-year dentistry students in the periodontal clinic and has presented his research at many conferences including the IADR/CADR 2015, IHRTP Graduate Student Research Day, and Canadian Academy of Periodontology AGM 2014.

Dr. Patel is a member of the Canadian Academy of Periodontology, American Academy of Periodontology, Canadian Dental Association, International Association of Dental Research and the Nova Scotia Dental Association. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Conscious Sedation via nitrous oxide and oral route.

Outside the office Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his family and playing soccer, squash, tennis, and basketball.
